What tasks need to be done to install an opener?

Here's what you'll roughly have to do to DIY an electric operator:

  • Read and follow installation instructions properly

  • Check door operation - lubricate it, replace parts, etc

  • Mechanical assembly of operator kit

  • Fitting a secure bracket to the door lintel - concrete/steel/wood - possible specialist fixings as necessary (not supplied)

  • Lifting - approx' 15Kg's

  • Possible drilling of fixing holes in ceiling avoiding electrical cables but getting through to solid rafters

  • Spending a while up a step ladder

  • Mechanical setting up

  • Fine tuning of system as per instructions

If you are OK with all that ? "Do It Yourself !"

We offer full technical assistance for DIY installers if the operator is purchased from us.
