The typical installation charge is £140 inc VAT, but obviously this
varies with distance travelled, products chosen and whether it is
combined with a garage door
installation etc, etc.

For your safety and piece of mind the installation of electric openers is governed by the Machinery
Directive and a professional installer/company is under a legal
obligation to complete and sign a Declaration of Conformance to indicate
that the garage door and opener have been installed as per instructions
and the necessary safety tests carried out. When getting quotes for
installation work from other companies please ensure that they are able
to fulfill this important requirement. We are aware that many of
our competitors are ignoring this legislation and have been called to
customers to rectify poor workmanship.
When an installation is completed by a installing company you must
receive:
1. A demonstration of the safety features
2. A demonstration of how to use the product and what to do in the event
of a power cut
3. All installation and operation manuals
4. A declaration of conformance for the electric opener being installed
5. A copy of the declaration of conformance (which you will be asked to
sign)
6. An identifying label will be affixed to the rear face of the door
with a unique serial number to enable full traceability.
Please note that this legislation does not apply to DIY installation
although the installation instructions should. of course, be followed.
